Who's on this list

Here's the short version. Every provider here is In on the hormones list and prescribes testosterone itself. Programs that offer enclomiphene or other testosterone support without TRT aren't here, and neither are menopause-only programs.

Some providers prescribe FDA-approved brand products. Others compound. Several sell more than one form, and the card's price is for the testosterone product, not the provider's other care.

Not sure TRT is for you at all? Start with the label section below. It's the part most sales pages skip, and it decides whether a prescriber can say yes.

Who the label is written for

FDA-approved testosterone is labeled for adult men with low testosterone from a diagnosed cause, like a testicular injury or a pituitary problem. Before starting, labels tell prescribers to confirm it with morning blood tests on at least two separate days, both below the normal range.

Labels have also carried a line saying safety and benefit in age-related low testosterone aren't established. In 2026, FDA asked makers to remove it after reviewing new data. Labels change one product at a time, so you may still see the old wording.

What that means for you: a program that skips labs isn't following the label. Most providers here build a lab test into the start, and some charge for it separately. Ask any that don't mention labs how they confirm the diagnosis.

A controlled hormone, prescribed online

Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance. That's why the rules for prescribing it by video are stricter than for most online care.

A federal extension preserves qualifying telemedicine prescribing of controlled drugs without a prior in-person examination through December 31, 2026. Other federal conditions and state law still apply. If that rule lapses, a program may need an in-person step, so ask how yours would handle it.

Compounded creams are a separate category. A pharmacy mixes them for you, and FDA doesn't review them before they're dispensed. Approved topical products are gels such as AndroGel.

What the big safety trial found

TRAVERSE followed 5,246 men at high heart risk on testosterone gel or placebo. Major heart events ran 7.0% on testosterone and 7.3% on placebo. Atrial fibrillation, acute kidney injury and blood clots in the lungs were more common on testosterone.

After that trial, FDA changed class labeling in February 2025 and dropped heart-risk language from the boxed warning. Oral capsules and the Xyosted autoinjector also lost their blood-pressure boxed warnings that year. Blood pressure still sits under the warnings, so expect it to be checked.

TRAVERSE tested a gel, not shots or capsules. The full rundown is in TRT explained, and form by form in testosterone injections or cream.

Shot, cream or capsule: what differs

Injections. The form most providers here sell. The DEPO-Testosterone label carries no boxed warning.

Gels and creams. Gels carry a boxed warning: children exposed through skin or clothing have shown early male traits. If kids live with you, that's a real part of the choice. A compounded cream also needs explicit transfer precautions from its prescriber and pharmacist.

Other forms. Availability differs by product and program. Ask whether the product is FDA-approved and what monitoring comes with it.

Your prescriber picks the form with you. How it's used isn't covered here.

Monitoring and fertility

Whatever the form, the labels call for the same follow-up: red blood cell levels, because testosterone can thicken the blood, prostate checks such as PSA, and blood pressure.

Testosterone from outside also tells your body to slow its own production, and large doses can suppress sperm. If you want children soon, raise it before your first visit. Enclomiphene is the option people often ask about, and it isn't FDA-approved.

Working out the monthly cost

Across programs that post a price, testosterone injection plans run $59–$199.99 a month. Creams and other topicals run $70–$239. The card shows each provider's own figure.

Labs in the price or not. Some providers fold the lab test and consult into the monthly price. Others add a lab fee, and the card names it when one is required. Follow-up labs can add a charge later, so ask.

No posted price. Some providers that prescribe brand products show the cost after your labs and visit, not before. Their cards show no monthly number.

Billing cycle. Verified 28-day charges are annualized over 365 days and divided by 12. This comparison is not a promise of a fixed number of cash payments in your first year.

Renewals. Some plans let you stop at any renewal. Ask how much notice a cancel needs.

Questions for your first visit

Which labs, and who pays? Ask what's checked before the first prescription and at each follow-up.

Approved or compounded? Ask which product you'd get and which pharmacy fills it.

What if I want kids? Ask how the plan handles fertility.

What's month two? Get the ongoing total, labs and visits included.

How do follow-ups work? Ask who reviews your results, how often you'll hear from a clinician and what happens if a number comes back high.

Questions about this list

Do I need blood tests to get TRT online?
Yes. FDA labels call for morning blood tests on at least two separate days, both below normal, before starting. Plan on a lab order before the first prescription and repeat tests once you start.
Can I get testosterone online without an in-person visit?
A qualifying telemedicine pathway may allow it through December 31, 2026. Testosterone is Schedule III, and prescribers must also satisfy applicable federal conditions and state law. It is not unrestricted online access.
Does TRT affect fertility?
It can. Testosterone from outside slows your own production, and large doses may suppress sperm. If fertility matters to you now, tell your prescriber before you start.
How much does TRT cost a month online?
Across programs that post a price, testosterone injection plans run $59–$199.99 a month. Labs and visits may be included or billed on top, and each card names any required fee.
